Anna Silk is a Fredericton native, the daughter Peter Silk, who was an academic. Her mother, Ilkay Silk, had a diverse range of skills, such as being able to direct, act and produce plays, as well as write them, teach, and be Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Anna Silk's father is British, and her mother, a Turkish Cypriot English expat. Anna Silk remembers her mother watching perform in play rehearsals. As a young child, she was featured in various commercials. In November 1999, Anna moved to Toronto in order to further develop her acting career. She eventually shifting in Los Angeles, California, within the next decade. Seth Cooperman, whom she was introduced to at an Los Angeles actors' workshop at the end of 2007, became her husband in the year 2009. The couple was married at a civil wedding ceremony in December and they renewed their vows at an Jewish celebration in Fredericton in April of 2011 in the wake of Anna's conversion into Judaism. Bo and Lauren's relationship (played Zoie Palmer by Bo) has been featured in CNN's top television couple list. They were also named by E! as the top TV couple of the year 2013.
