Debbie Gibson became a popular performer in the 80s. In time, she was lost to newer performers, but she continued to create her own music. Gibson was a New York City native born on August 31, 1970 in Long Island. She is a Virgo and has an Italian/Sicilian German and some Russian race. She is the only daughter of Diane Gibson and three sisters. She was a piano teacher in the company of Morton Estrin when she was a child. When she was in 1983, the singer started her career by writing a song titled 'I Come from America which she sent a track to WOR to be her entry into WOR's song contest. It ended up winning by her, and shortly after, the mother of the singer transformed their garage into a recording studio. D.J. got involved after an D.J. sent a recording of Only in My Dreams to a station. to the Atlantic Records executive shared her song and immediately helped get her a deal.
