Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin was born in the city of Winnipeg, but was raised in Wellington. She was the first actress to make her acting debut in Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano. Paquin, who was raised in Wellington however was born and bred in Winnipeg began her acting career in The Piano. At age 11 years old, she became one of the youngest Academy Award winner ever for Best Actress. Paquin was the character Frankie Addams as a child in the television adaptation of Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. Paquin played Queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's 1997 film Amistad. She played teenagers on Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000) as well as A Walk on the Moon (2000). She played her character groupie Polexia Aphrodisa on Almost Famous (2000).
